20 If Heaven Would Be the Same for Everyone

It’s cold and it’s dark
As I aimlessly wander
The streets of this ghost town

I burry my face
In a thick winter coat
As the merciless wind
Uncovers my frown

Where are the people
That made this my home
The truth they went after
Is a truth of its own

Sunshine gently caresses my skin
I’m looking for clues
For the state that I’m in

Everybody is back
But I’m still alone
And the truth that they found
Is a truth of its own

Where are the people
That made this my home
And I try to explain
In the most simple way that I know

If heaven would be the same for everyone
Then what would be the point
Of driving home religion as the only way
To tell you what it would really be

I know that I’m quite naive
To think that we can do
Without a personal believe

But there is nothing personal about
Someone telling you
I said someone telling you
What you’re supposed to believe

Where are the people
That made this my home
The truth they went after
Is a truth of its own

Moving further and farther away
I try to explain in the
Most simple way

If heaven would be the same for everyone
Then what would be the point
Of driving home religion as the only way
To tell you what it would really be
And if heaven would be the same for everyone
Then what would be the point
Of pretending that it’s always somewhere else
When in fact it can be
Where you really want it to be…
